TECHNICAL DATA FER-MAN®
- Impact-resistance steel sliding bearings
- Very high surface hardness
- Heat and corrosion resistant
- No stocking
- All special designs are available at short notice!
| PROPERTIES | Aplicable for higher loads, for avoiding adhesion, non-seizing, restricted abrasion-resistance, long-life bushing. Typical applications: e.g. replacement of bronze bearings which need to be lubricated intensively for dirt repellence. Very good for applications for minimum or initial lubricated bearing points with mechanical or/and thermal stress. |
| MATERIALS | Ferrous metal base material with lubrication grooves and special thermochemical treatment. |

| TOLERANCE DETAILS | |
| Housing – Ø | H7 |
| Shaft tolerance | Specified by the customer (recommended f7) |
| SHAFT MATERIAL | 16 MnCr5 case-hardened or 42 CrMo4V inductive hardened |
| MOUNTING ADVISE | |
| Housing – Ø | Mounting bevel, min. 1,5 mm x 15-45° |
| Shaft | Mounting bevel, 5 mm x 15°, edges rounded |
| Force fitting mandrel | The application of an adequate force fitting mandrel is advisable. Grease lubrication of the outer surface may be necessary when mounting. |
| MAINTENANCE | Initial and periodical lubrication is necessary. Reduction in lubrication frequency compared to bronze bushings |
| * | The above stated material properties are valid for optimal operating conditions. Through changes of the application conditions e.g. higher sliding speed or strain, these values are subject to change. |
